To My Fellow Mamas

I have found that as a wife and mom, I often set the tone for our home. So much of how things go relies on how well I’m leaning on the Lord and showing His love and fruit to my family. It is really an honor to have this responsibility as a mother and wife— to be the tone setter of a home that serves the Lord. I value my relationship with Christ not just for the peace and growth it brings for me, but for what it gives to my family as well. In 2 Timothy, Paul recalls the rich faith that had been passed down to Timothy. He writes, “I remember your genuine faith, for you share the faith that first filled your grandmother Lois and your mother, Eunice. And I know that same faith continues strong in you.” Witnessing authentic faith lived out by my mother and grandmother is the greatest gift I was given as a child. Let us be women who bless our children with an example of genuine faith. The best legacy we could leave in this life is a saving faith that can be inherited for generations to come. I pray that the sacrifices I make today and the genuine faith I work so hard to live out, will produce blessings that transcend time, a divine gift that can be enjoyed for eternity. —H.
