Divine Love
To be divinely and unconditionally loved is one of humanity's deepest needs. In the Garden of Eden, love was experienced as it was originally intended. Being free from the imprint of sin, the presence of God was freely given to all. But Adam and Eve’s desire for autonomy and the outright rejection of their dependence on God, ushered in an ugly campaign against the love of God, spearheaded by the Devil himself. Even Satan, in all his wickedness, is keenly aware of the human need for our Creator’s divine love. Knowing this, he took what was meant to wholly bless and fill our souls and instead threw it in the dirt, stomping on it with glee, leaving painful bruises on the hearts of all who experience love in its distorted state. Keeping people from knowing the true definition of love, which is God Himself, is one of Satan’s most powerful tools in the sabotage of God’s Kingdom. His attack takes aim right at the nature of God’s goodness, causing the love of God to be doubted instead of innately understood. But our Triune God was not surprised by humanity’s rejection and Satan’s attack. The Divine Rescue Plan was determined long before the fall of man, existing even before the universe itself was created. The counter attack and ultimate triumph of our Triune God’s plan was placed upon the shoulders of His perfect Son. Our path back to the divine love and presence of God was paved by the blood of Jesus on the cross. Those who choose to walk its crimson path will be cleansed so thoroughly that not only will they be fit to be in God’s presence once again, but His very Spirit will now be able to dwell within them. Although our sinful nature and rejection of God should have separated us eternally from our Holy Maker, it instead set the stage for the greatest act of divine love to be displayed. @1000hourswithJesus
