Feelings of defeat come from the one who has already been defeated: Satan. He wants you to share in his misery and take part in his impending doom. But those who are in Christ Jesus take no part in Satan’s defeat. We will not be overcome and we will not be shaken by his lies, because we are sheltered under the wings of the Most High.

Our world has portrayed Satan inaccurately— he has been pictured on television and talked about as if he exists on the same playing field as God, but nothing could be farther from the truth.
